1. Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota

Minneapolis and St. Paul are surrounded by lakes and are located along the Mississippi River. There are 22 lakes in the Minneapolis Parks System, each featuring beaches, boat launches, and fishing piers.

The Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway connects the area’s vast park system with highways, walking, and bicycling paths. Hockey and ice fishing are popular in the winter, and waterfalls and lakeside picnics are popular in the summer.

The median monthly housing expense for homeowners with a mortgage is $1,694 and for renters, it is $1,052. Minneapolis is also a college town, with over 50,000 students attending the University of Minnesota each year, and retirees may be eligible for free audit courses.

Florida is no longer an inexpensive place to retire! The insurance for both homes and cars is off the hook here and taxes are also riding. Sales tax on everything is 7.5, property tax as well as infrastructure tax call CDD are high.

I don’t know where you produced this list, but Florida should not be on it. Prices in this state have skyrocketed.
