Budget Retirement? In These 10 States You Can Get By on 45k a Year

#9 West Virginia

West Virginia came in after Indiana, but not by a big margin, as their overall yearly expenditures came up to $43,059. However, when you are looking to budget, every dollar counts! If you are looking to retire early, West Virginia is a great place to do that as, even if they only came in at 9 on our list, the overall costs are still pretty low!

For housing, retirees have been paying about $7,793 (which is the highest number on the list when it comes to housing), and their grocery shopping only ended up going up to about $4,000. Not too bad!
