5. Missouri

Their average rent for a one-bedroom apartment is just a few dollars under 800 a month, making it a very good option for retirees, and other expenses run about 11% below what the national average is right now. If you can “endure” the change of weather every hour, then you’re safe moving here. It’s up to you and only you to decide what’s best for your golden years. With so many options available, it would be a pity not to find something suitable enough.

6. Iowa

Wow! Did you know that this state is probably the best one to live in? Well, it might come as a surprise to a lot of you, but Iowa is at the top of the list with the most affordable cost of living, especially for those retirees who want to rely only on their Social Security check. In the past few years, more and more retirees have been eager to relocate here. Besides the fact that the average rent cost is around $700, more than 18% of the state’s residents are over 65. That’s cool, right? Now, I am super curious about your thoughts regarding this aspect. Would you move here or not?
