5 Tax Records Seniors Should NEVER Throw Out

Ok, you filled out your taxes, and you are done with them for now. That’s great, but keep in mind one important thing: nothing in life is absolutely certain – yep, not even taxes, if you can believe that. And this is the reason why you should never throw out the paperwork you used during that process, such as your 1099s, W-2s, and many others.

We know that many times, once you’ve mailed your tax return or hit the send button on your electronic form, you are tempted to throw these papers away, but this is never a good idea. You never know when you’ll need them.

So, try to make a practice out of this and keep these papers safe. This will pay off later when you fill out your next tax return. Here is a list of all of the tax documents that you should store in a safe place.
