8 Kirkland Products That No Longer Feel Like a Costco Bargain

December 17, 2025 · Saving & Spending

Peanut Butter Pretzels Keep Edging Up

Kirkland peanut butter pretzels increased about 4%, moving from $12.99 to $13.49 for a large 1.56-kilogram container. On paper, that sounds minor — but over a year of repeat purchases, it adds up.

This is a classic example of “quiet inflation”, where prices rise slowly enough to avoid backlash but still impact annual grocery spending.

Consider:

  • Rotating snacks to avoid habitual buying
  • Checking Sam’s Club for competitive pricing
  • Buying smaller quantities to reduce overconsumption and waste

Gram crackers are another one that has reduced the amount of crackers in the box. The crackers are at least 1/3 smaller and the price has increased!
I would really like to know how much it has gone up?
Only guessing without knowing what they used to be here, what size they were

the membership price is totally ridiculous. the tropicana orange juice is about the same price, but it’s 3 bottles and a smaller size container. I enjoy the grassfed burgers, that is very overpriced. I stopped buying the chicken parts, they are now giving us scraps instead of whole parts.

We have shopped less at Costco because of increased prices and large quantities because we can’t store it or use it fast enough and member fee keeps going up.
