5. Orinda

Next on our list of the safest cities in California is Orinda, a suburb of Oakland. With a population of about 19,800, this city has a violent crime rate of 7.70 per 1,000 people, which is relatively below other cities of its size.

Specifically, violent crimes that include murder, aggravated assault, rape, and manslaughter aren’t as common nationwide as in other cities. Property crimes that include arson and theft also tend to be lower in Orinda.

In Orinda, there are lots of restaurants and coffee shops, as well as several parks where you can relax. The city also boasts impressive art centers and theaters for art lovers to enjoy. So, if you’re considering moving to Orinda, rest assured that you’ll be relocating to a city that’s overall safe for you and your family.
