Working in Retirement? Consider These 5 Things First!

3. Income goals

Usually, when people start working in retirement, it is because they need more money. But if this is your main goal and you only want to maximize your income, the best thing that you can do is choose a new job that is somehow related to your old career.

And because you have experience in that field, you can work as a coach, consultant, freelancer, or interim executive. This is the easiest way to make money because you can charge more for your expertise. Experience is important, and employers pay well for it.

Industry groups are a great place to discover training opportunities, whether they are in the industry you have already worked in or a brand new one that intrigues you.

Remember that if you are confident in your skills, don’t be afraid to charge a premium.
