Loss of a loved one

If you and your spouse have recently been through a major loss, whether it’s a parent, a sibling, a close friend, or even a child, then you are probably both grieving. However, in some cases, one of the spouses always hurts more, and not because they loved the person more.

We are all built differently, and when such tragic events occur, you can never tell how grief will hit you. If you notice that your spouse is hurting in a way that’s very hard to comprehend and contain all by yourself, then you might want to consider getting help.

A worsening chronic health condition

If your spouse is dealing with a chronic health condition, like obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD, then you’re probably on guard most of the time. If you are considering moving to an assisted living facility with your spouse, then you need to be wary of the signs.

Wouldn’t you like your spouse to be constantly monitored by a health professional who might advise you when it’s the right time to change medication or anything at all in your spouse’s lifestyle? Well, imagine that you wouldn’t have to take care of your loved one all by yourself, which is a very encouraging thought.
