Acadia National Park, Maine

Best Time to Visit: In the middle of October, when the leaf-peeping season begins and the weather is a bit cooler.

This National Park in Maine gets about 4 million visitors a year, making it one of the most visited parks in our country. Well-known for its beautiful Autumn foliage, Acadia’s terrain is characterized by rocky beaches, woodland, and granite peaks.

Older adults who love birdwatching will enjoy the view of the eagles and falcons, among the many other birds. While here, a peaceful stroll along the magnificent coastline will be perfect to rejuvenate you.

The best part is that most of the rugged coastal vistas here are easily accessible to people of all ages. You can also take a tour around the carriage roads to enjoy the coastal scenery.
