The majority of these credit monitoring services will offer you various identity protection tools and services.

Don’t forget to protect your child’s SSN

While you’re focusing on protecting your own Social Security Number, you have to make sure you’re just as careful with your children’s numbers. This is oftentimes the biggest issue when you’re paying a visit to the doctor’s office.

Luckily, the vast majority of medical facilities would be more than happy to use an insurance account number rather than your or your child’s SSN.
