If you desire a peaceful retirement side gig that doesn’t require much hustle, a job at the local library is perfect for you!

Whether you’re passionate about reading or not, a librarian needs to be an organized person with the patience to search through all of the library shelves.

I worked in a library many years ago when I was still in college, and I really enjoyed it! It was an easy, tranquil job, and sometimes it was fun because I discovered so many interesting books, some with clever jokes.

On average, a librarian earns about the minimum wage, and sometimes even more, depending on the specific library. The schedule is quite good since libraries close after 7:00 PM, so you’ll be home every evening.
