#4 On-Demand Driver

Independent drivers are needed by ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft to transport customers. One of the most adaptable senior part-time occupations is on-demand driving, since you may choose your own hours. In fact, around 23% of Uber drivers are over 50, according to a Benenson Strategy Group poll.

Additionally, two-thirds of Uber workers have no prior driving experience. Therefore, these services provide ideal employment for elderly individuals without training who have clean driving records.

Also, you can deduct your fuel costs from your taxes. People who use their cars for work purposes might opt to deduct either their automobile maintenance costs or their mileage.

This position is usually paid $24.77 an hour, but keep in mind that you will have to pay for all expenses related to car maintenance.

I am retired and I am interested in working again to have some spending change! I do not have a car and so I am interested in working from home. Please give me some tips on companies or agencies that are interested in hiring seniors. I hope you can help me identify those companies or agencies that are interested in hiring seniors working from home. I am a retired Chemistry teacher and have many skills. Please send me any information that you can make available to me!
