Fire hazards: Make sure you use indoor lights!

Part of what brings the Christmas spirit inside is the lights. They are always great additions to any decor, but you must also be careful what type you use, especially when it comes to indoor ones. The safest ones you can choose are LED lights, as they do not heat up as much as other traditional ones while also being just as bright as all the fairy lights out there.

However, the hazard doesn’t stop at lights overheating: no matter the type of lights you use and where you use them (indoor or outdoor), make sure that they are not damaged or frayed, as they can easily light up a fire. Once you have finished decorating with them, make sure that you do not leave them unattended and that you turn them off when you are leaving the house, even if it is for a short period.

If you are excited about the holiday season but are afraid that you may not do well financially, there is no need to worry! Make sure you read our best tips and tricks about how to manage your holiday finances here!
