Social Worker

Social workers for mental health and substance abuse are people who help others cope with cognitive, behavioral, and emotional issues and some other life challenges. The downside to this part-time gig is that travel and some evening work might be necessary to visit clients.

Unfortunately, a bachelor’s degree is needed to become a social worker, and a master’s degree and two years of supervised experience are required in order to become a clinical social worker.

The pay is an average of $23.79 per hour. And employment in this area is expected to increase by 16 percent by 2026 because people seem to seek out treatment for mental illnesses and substance abuse increasingly.

It also appears that more and more drug offenders are sent to treatment programs.

If having a part-time gig interests you, here are some organizations that may help you find a job or the resources you need to get started: Retired Brains, AARP, and Encore.org. This may also be a huge help for your next chapter!

The Fed haven’t changed the threshold before they tax your SS benefits since 1985!
It’s ridiculous to tax your SS Benefits because you need to work to make ends meet.
It’s regressive to tax the retired who earn as little as $30 K because they ddin’t accrue the Fat white collar pensions of their former bosses.
