5. Melbourne, Florida

Melbourne is located on Florida’s east coast and boasts a 33-mile shoreline. The city is separated from a barrier island by the Indian River Lagoon. Melbourne’s beaches provide swimming and relaxation as well as more daring water sports, including jet-skiing, surf instruction, and a guided kayak excursion.

Melbourne has a low cost of living, with a median monthly mortgage payment of $1,324 per month for a property near the seaside. Melbourne renters pay an average of $1,018 per month. Melbourne residents may watch key launches at the neighboring Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, sometimes known as the Space Coast.

In honor of the countdown until liftoff, the local area code is 3-2-1.

I don’t know where you produced this list, but Florida should not be on it. Prices in this state have skyrocketed.

Florida is no longer an inexpensive place to retire! The insurance for both homes and cars is off the hook here and taxes are also riding. Sales tax on everything is 7.5, property tax as well as infrastructure tax call CDD are high.
