This is a cottage community that can be found just off the Gulf Coast. and is well-known as a family-friendly paradise.

Front Beach Drive has a stunning scenic route of the water, and Ocean Springs Beach offers a variety of water activities seniors can enjoy, even if all you’re looking for is a lazy lounge on the Florida sand. If you love fishing, this place is for you!

Every morning fishing boats venture out and return in the afternoon with their nets full of fresh shrimp, crab, and oysters. And luckily for locals, most of this bounty finds its way into dozens of local markets and outstanding restaurants.

But that’s not all! In recent times, Ocean Springs has also become popular due to its eclectic arts scene.

The Walter Anderson Museum of Art honors the work of its namesake, and the lovely Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center holds exhibits, art classes, and interesting performances.

The downtown area is charming, with sidewalk cafes, galleries, pubs, and boutiques. Retirees also appreciate the organic grocery shopping, a couple of golf courses, and lots of festivals each year.
