9 States to Live on Your Social Security Check Alone

7. Wyoming

As you probably noticed, we mostly mentioned western states because they are way more affordable. Wyoming is bordered to the north by Montana, the east by South Dakota and Nebraska, the south by Colorado and Utah, and the west by Idaho. And two of the states that are Wyoming’s neighbors are already on our list! Why is this state suitable for retirees? First of all, you can comfortably live on your Social Security check, and second of all, you will pay about 9% less on average for your utility bills and other expenses.
