6. Aliso Viejo

Aliso Viejo has been ranking high among the safest cities in California, with a violent crime rate of 7.90 per 1,000 people. Located about four miles from Laguna Beach, this south county community is full of charming townhomes, condos, and newly constructed single-family houses.

One of the top attractions in this city is the world-famous Aliso Viejo Country Club golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus. Additionally, residents enjoy the public park, which boasts multiple tennis courts and other sports fields for numerous uses. As one of the top popular points of interest in Aliso Viejo, people who live in the city also have access to the lovely picnic area and a children’s playground.
