Constant household clutter

Sudden hoarding and refusing to throw anything away could be a clear sign of deteriorating mental health. Also, signs of lax housekeeping could indicate deteriorating physical health. Also, it can be a sign of deteriorating well-being, which is oftentimes caused by depression and memory loss.

Signs of poor maintenance

If you’re out and about all the time and you suddenly notice that your spouse doesn’t want to get involved in any chores in the house whatsoever, this could indicate a problem.

If you notice that he or she starts leaving things in disrepair in a way that has never happened before, it might be due to the fact that they are unable to perform the usual tasks in the house. In this case, moving into an assisted living facility might help.

Signs of a loss of independence

No matter how active our partners might be, as we get older, age catches up. You might notice your spouse has diminished eyesight and other physical functions. Well, you might want to ask yourself what would happen if, for example, you had to go grocery shopping or stay with the grandkids.

You want your spouse to be protected all the time, and that’s why you might want to consider moving to an assisted living facility.
