You won’t even need a car in New York City

The distances are quite short and close to the city center, and you can easily rely on public transport. Or, if you want to keep your shape, you can get around by bicycle or walk short distances. I think this is great news for a retiree, especially since you’ll avoid the financial stress that a car might bring.

There are plenty of good doctors and hospitals in NYC

The number one reason New York City is a great place to retire is that you’ll have access to some of the best doctors and hospitals in the country. If you ever need anything or get sick, there’s no better medical support than here. So when it comes to health, you can easily have peace of mind.

Now, should we tackle the cons? I mean, we can’t avoid them forever, right?
