The laundry area is one of the biggest things retirees should check when viewing a house for sale. It’s a commonly overlooked aspect of a property.

Besides all the other essential things to look at, don’t forget to check if there’s a laundry hookup in the home and where it’s located. If there’s a washer and dryer in the home, you should include them in your offer if you don’t have your own.

Roof Leaks

Home inspectors can find many things wrong with a property. But they can’t always catch ABSOLUTELY everything. And most of them won’t get on a ladder to climb on top of a roof to inspect it.

So it’s crucial to have things others won’t always check thoroughly viewed by an expert. A leak could indicate that the roof needs to be replaced, making it a very costly matter.
