7. Pet groomer

Pet lovers are invited to join a wonderful retirement side gig! Pet groomers don’t walk dogs; that might be a bit too much for some retirees. Dogs have a lot of energy that they need to expend, and we can’t provide that.

Taking care of an animal’s fur can be very interesting. There are thousands and thousands of breeds of dogs and cats. All you need to do is research the type of fur the animal you’re caring for has. Find out what kind of brush it needs, what kind of shampoo it requires, and so on.

However, if you truly love animals, this retirement side gig won’t be a problem for you!

If you’re a very active senior and want to stay that way, you can read our article on 25 Ways to Stay Active in Retirement.

Any of these retirement side gigs must have caught your eye. All seven options have been tried by other seniors, so don’t be afraid of something new! We must overcome our fears and continue to fight!
