3. Moorpark

Moorpark is known for having the lowest number of serious crimes, making it one of the safest cities in California. The total crime rate is 6.89 per 1,000, which is significantly lower than California’s average.

The Moorpark Police Department has been intensely focusing on proactive police work, crime prevention, victim engagement, and community outreach. Their combination of building resident support and good old-fashioned police work are both critical components to keeping Moorpark safe.

The city has art centers, a family zoo, and several recreational activities for families. There are also six elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, and one continuation school.
