Top 8 Worst Cities For Retirement

Jersey City, New Jersey

Price can be a significant limiting factor if you’ve been thinking about Jersey City as a place for living out your retirement. In fact, the cost of living in the state tends to be ABOVE your national average.

This is one of those “worst cities” that doesn’t truly promote physical activities either.

Also, your health care is very much defined by how much you earn each month, so low-income retirees might not be able to get access to the best care they should be getting.

Because of these factors, it’s no wonder that the entire state continually ranks very low when it comes to places for seniors to settle down.

…What do you think? Is this the worst town to live in?

Move to Michigan. Seniors have a guarantee that the state won’t raise property taxes over a certain percentage regardless of the official rate.

Memphis is a blue city – run by democrats. The state is a red state – but MEM is blue. I lived there for 33 years due to a job. Couldn’t wait to move out……

Any party who is OK with killing babies and old people should tell you who cares about you. If you vote for DEMONCRATS, you are nuts

I have lived in Washington State for decades and would call it the worst pace to retire to because of the ever growing taxes. We bought a modest 1300 sq ft home that was a total fixer upper and over the last 15 years made improvements to retire to and moved from the crime ridden west coast to eastern Washington five years ago when we retired and last year year the state took our 30 year old modest forever home valued at $358,000 and re assessed it at $617,000 at the end of last year. Thats a $259,000 jump in one year and the taxes that were semi affordable will almost double.
Bing on a fixed income will make it hard to do anything but pay taxes. I honestly can’t think of anything that isn’t taxed and there are more taxes on the way. we are looking to move to Idaho at this point. We were basically taxed out of our home on the west side we lived in for 30years and they are doing the same thing to us again. Plus the state is billions or dollars in debt even after raising taxes and adding taxes. Think real hard before moving to Washington State unless you have a lot of money to burn.

Glad to see that we had advanced in education to where people think that Hawaii is a city… Nice… We have plenty to look forward to with this doomed humanity
