West Virginia

The state is known to have a special kind of beauty but also a wide range of affordable homes, plenty of senior care facilities, and an affordable and efficient health care system. Around 21 percent of the population here is over 65 years old, which is also the third highest number in the nation, so I guess it makes all the sense in the world to consider it as one of your potential destinations.

As a freshly retired individual, you will definitely find plenty of other sociable and fun residents who might even share the same interests as you, with whom you might get to enjoy all the services made for seniors.

Also, retirees who can’t say goodbye to changing seasons (compared to those who would prefer moving to Florida, for example) should definitely consider moving here, just for the West Virginia climate.
