House, garage, or pole barn cleaning and organization

If you’re good at cleaning and organizing, whether we’re talking about rooms, homes, or outbuildings, you might want to lend a hand to small-town residents because they need just as much help as city residents.

Yard work

Residents of smaller towns and bigger rural lots are constantly looking for help with yard work, such as mowing lawns and raking leaves. You can easily advertise your services via local newspapers or mail postcards.

Painting jobs

Plenty of rural and small-town residents are constantly looking for painting services. Luckily, painting doesn’t take a lot of training, as long as you know how to work meticulously and neatly. You could paint mailboxes, propane tanks, houses, garages, barns, wood fences, and many other items.

You start by making sure that the painted surface is properly prepared and that you have the right type of paint. Find additional instructions on how to paint surfaces the right way on YouTube or on various home improvement websites. You can practice at home if you’re unsure if you have the needed skills.
