Joining the clergy

Sometimes seniors might lose connection with their work community, and it’s not necessarily a bad thing. For some, it could be an opportunity to get involved in a spiritual community. There are many men who wish to enter the clergy as soon as they retire, as the Urban Institute revealed.

Clergy jobs might pay a median wage of $48,990 a year, and they’re expected to grow by 8 percent in the next couple of years. Members of the clergy might be able to promote religious education and also provide counseling, guidance, and services to all members of the congregation. Also, a bachelor’s degree is fairly common when it comes to these positions, but education requirements could vary.
