1. Driver

If you are passionate about driving and considering getting a retirement side gig, there are many platforms and websites dedicated to private transportation.

Uber and Lyft have gradually become less favorable to drivers as they constantly modify their terms and rates. However, there are other alternatives that are much more beneficial for you, such as Wingz, Kango, RedeZum, or HopSkipDrive.

For example, Wingz targets pre-scheduled trips to and from the airport. RubiRides, KidCar, HopSkipDrive, and Kango cater to rides reserved for minors who need transportation to school, after-school activities, or sports practice. These are very useful apps for parents who don’t have the time to take their children to school.

Many people turn to these ride-share services for a side gig because they offer better hourly rates, but they also expect you to provide a background check and have experience with children.

For those interested in a job as a school bus driver, you can visit the Zum website to find out more details.
