#6 Tennessee

Who doesn’t love good old Tennessee? The state is gorgeous, and there are a lot of cities in which you can retire quietly but still have the option to go to a bigger city if you still crave that hustle and bustle. When it comes to budgeting and retirees, Tennessee has been treating all retirees very well.

All the costs that retiring to this state implies are affordable and come under our budget of $45,000, so it would leave you with money to save too! Easy living is the expression that comes to our minds, as healthcare comes up to only around $6,000 and utilities fall into the $3,500 category. Speaking of southern hospitality!
