Adult Literacy Teacher

Adult literacy and GED teachers assist with essential skills like reading, writing, and speaking in English. You would typically work at community colleges and/or public schools to help adults earn a high school equivalent diploma.

Part-time schedules are typical, and classes may be held in the mornings or evenings to accommodate work or caregiving schedules. Adult literacy teachers earn an average of $25.79 per hour. On a similar note, you can become a Tutor.

Tutoring is another growing opportunity. If you like kids and were a pretty good student back in the day, this part-time gig is for you! Wyzant is a platform that connects tutors to kids that need help.

From teenagers who need support with AP classes to grade school kids who just need to get their homework done, tutoring is a great way to earn money and mingle with the young, keeping YOU young at heart! You can even choose to offer in-person or online sessions.

The Fed haven’t changed the threshold before they tax your SS benefits since 1985!
It’s ridiculous to tax your SS Benefits because you need to work to make ends meet.
It’s regressive to tax the retired who earn as little as $30 K because they ddin’t accrue the Fat white collar pensions of their former bosses.
