3. Cybersecurity is not a topic of interest to you

Is your favorite password “123456789”, “0000”, or “password”? If your answer is yes, then you are not doing things the proper way. Having strong passwords is the first step you can take in order to protect your data, and sometimes even more than data.

Unfortunately, you are not alone, and “password” is one of the most popular passwords worldwide. Retirement is not a time to ignore cyber security, as an AARP report indicates that senior fraud schemes cost victims $28.3 billion annually.

So, the best thing you can do is learn how to protect yourself. This is why one of the worst habits to carry into retirement is definitely being lazy about cybersecurity. Getting caught up in scams can lead to big financial losses, unsanctioned transactions, and expensive identity theft recovery. We are sure you don’t want to end up in such trouble, and because of this, you should learn how to be more careful.

Besides all the dangers to which you are exposing yourself and all the money you can lose, being scammed online can make you feel worthless and vulnerable. Also, it can make you not trust technology anymore, and this can affect your life in a bad way.

How can you protect yourself? Learn about typical phone and internet scams, use secure passwords, update software often, and proceed cautiously if you get unwanted messages.

Thanks for a very informative report. I am so glad to have moved to Brazil a few years after my retirement. A country where health care is a human right as manifested in their constitution. All procedures, including, transplants are free. I never paid a penny and quite a few prescriptions are free, as well.
I wish you would address this health issue in America; the richest country in the world.

These articles are virtually impossible to read because of the skillful and manipulative way that the clip through to read on is disguised or hidden for advertising purposes. This come on to attract attention and not deliver the goods is fraudulent and deceptive. It should be avoided in the future. as an artless and wasteful use of time and generates bad will.

Nothing is free ! Someone else paid for your healthcare. When those someone elses money runs out your “free” healthcare disappears.
