Librarian

If you’re a bookworm and love working within your own community, becoming a library aide would be a perfect part-time gig. You can spend your days helping visitors and cataloging and shelving books and magazines.

With a job like this, you’ll work at public libraries, schools, and colleges to aid people in finding and analyzing information. Librarians generally need a master’s degree in library science.

Most of them work full time, but it may be possible to negotiate yourself a part-time gig or maybe even a flexible schedule. Librarians earn an average of $28.39 per hour.

Library assistants usually make around $13 per hour, though the work hours may vary depending on where they work.

I feel I am very qualified for this type of position, however, I live 40 minutes from the medical center area in Houston. I do not want to have to travel throughout Houston to be able to be a Patient Advocate though. I am very open to jobs located within a 10-20 minute drive from zip of 77382.

  1. The Fed haven’t changed the threshold before they tax your SS benefits since 1985!
It’s ridiculous to tax your SS Benefits because you need to work to make ends meet.
It’s regressive to tax the retired who earn as little as $30 K because they ddin’t accrue the Fat white collar pensions of their former bosses.

  2. I was smart and put away $800 a week for three years before retiring and invested it and has increased too over $300.000.00 to date.
