Beyond direct payments, the bill’s sponsors say the remaining revenue would be directed toward programs that disproportionately benefit retirees and working families, including:
- Expanded Medicare coverage—potentially including dental, vision, and hearing benefits that many seniors currently pay out of pocket
- Investment in affordable senior housing and home health care services
- Support for older adults and people with disabilities receiving in-home care
- Childcare support and increased teacher pay
