6. Is now the right time to Downsize?

While this question might have been lingering in your head for a while, you have to take a few things into consideration before making a decision. Decide if you want to move to a smaller place and sell your house or rent it. Don’t rush things! This is very important because planning takes time, and if you haven’t thought about “the ideal house” until now, be patient until you find it.

It might take days, months, or years, and if you feel overwhelmed by this, ask a family member to help you make a decision based on your finances, or if you can afford it, seek out professional help.

Takeaway:

Don’t forget about your main goal! Make a plan and stick to it as much as possible because this is one big step in your retirement life, so it can definitely be stressful. To budget for your downsizing, it’s useful to take a broad view of things and ask yourself a few important questions.
