Dining and Restaurant Discounts

Whether it’s a quick coffee or a nice dinner out, never hesitate to ask about a discount. Most restaurant deals are at the discretion of the franchise owner, so what works in one town might not in another.

  • Applebee’s: Varies by location, but many offer a 10-15% discount for customers 60+.
  • Arby’s: Participating locations may offer a 10% discount or a free/discounted drink for seniors 55+.
  • A&W: Many locations offer a 10% discount for seniors.
  • Burger King: A 10% discount on your order is common at many locations for those 60 and over.
  • Chick-fil-A: Franchise-owned, but many offer a free small drink or coffee with a purchase, or a 10% discount.
  • Chili’s: A 10% discount for seniors 55+ is available at many locations.
  • Dairy Queen: Check with your local DQ. Many offer 10% off or a free small drink for seniors.
  • Denny’s: They have a dedicated 55+ menu with smaller portions and lower prices. Some locations also offer an AARP discount.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts: AARP members can get a free donut with the purchase of a large or extra-large beverage.
  • IHOP: Like Denny’s, IHOP has a popular 55+ menu with great deals on their classic meals.
  • KFC: Many locations provide a free small drink with any meal for customers 55+.
  • McDonald’s: Varies greatly by owner, but discounts on coffee and other beverages for seniors 55+ are very common.
  • Outback Steakhouse: AARP members get 10% off their check (excluding alcohol).
  • Subway: A 10% discount for seniors 60+ may be available at certain locations. Ask before ordering.
  • Taco Bell: Ask about a 5% discount or a free beverage for customers 65+.
  • Wendy’s: While there is no national policy, many Wendy’s locations offer a senior discount. Ask at the counter.
