Rents and property prices have increased in NYC

Rents and property prices went through the roof in NYC in the past decade. In fact, if things continue this way, there are high chances for retirees to lose any given chance of affording a decent place to stay, which might force them to leave the city and make room for younger people who earn way more and thus would be able to live in the region.

Medical bills can turn out to be very expensive

Even if you find the best medical infrastructure, it’s also worth noting that the prices here are to die for. Also, if you don’t have the right health insurance, you might not be able to afford any good medical treatment in the region.

Retirees have a hard time making a basic living in New York City

As most retirees can’t afford to buy decent things in the city, many struggle to make a basic living in NYC. Also, if you don’t have some of the best pensions you could ever get, the city might not be the best place for you, given that you won’t be able to afford most things here.
