7. Delaware

If you live here and receive SSI, you could actually receive a state supplemental payment. And to be eligible to receive this supplement, you must live in a certified adult residential facility. If you are single, you will receive up to $140, and couples can receive up to $448 a month.

You need to earn at least the taxable maximum each year for 35 years to get the maximum possible Social Security payment! If you worked less than 35 years, you will receive less money. 

There is no perfect time to talk about Social Security benefits because it depends on a variety of things. such as current income and employment status, life expectations, and other available retirement funds. What is your current situation? Where do you live?
