Kansas

Why is this state on our list of the best retirement destinations in the Midwest?

Kingman

Ready to spend all of your new retirement time resting? Well, then, you should consider moving to Kingman.

This rural town offers something for everyone: hunting preserves, museums, golf courses, recreation-friendly lakes, wildlife sanctuaries, an arboretum, theaters, a giant public library, and lots of dining and shopping options for you to choose from.

Overland Park

With a population of 186,147, this area is the 2nd most populated city in the state, a claim that comes with an outstanding range of attractions.

A fantastic family atmosphere is complimented by a fairly low crime rate, a strong property market, a friendly community, and many first-rate trails and parks.

Private professionals, meanwhile, are likely to feel short-changed by the excellent selection of restaurants and bars that populate the area and the easy drive into the heart of Kansas City.
