1. Play Games

Playing games is not just a fun way of spending your time as a child or as a teenager. Retirees can have a great time as well! From a bit of healthy competition to bringing all kinds of people together, games are a really great way to make people happy.

Besides making you laugh, playing games can also have a lot of health benefits, especially for elder people. According to scientists, board games help your brain activate 2 of its parts: the prefrontal cortex and the hippocampus. This will give your memory a boost, while also easing the effects of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Believe it or not, board games can actually help your immune system get stronger, improves your dexterity and coordination, and it can also reduce stress. If you crave some happy hormones and a positive attitude, all you have to do is get some of your friends and start the games!

…If you want something that will challenge your mind, we recommend Scrabble, Sudoku puzzles, and crossword puzzles.
