Selling vegetables made at home

In this day and age, people are crazy about finding local produce, especially if it’s organic. If you love gardening and you have access to a bit of land, you should take into consideration raising high-value crops that might earn you a couple of bucks. You can either try your hand at selling vegetables and herbs at the end of the driveway or at the local farmer’s market. Here are some of the vegetables and herbs that might sell very well:

  • Tomatoes;
  • Cucumbers;
  • Corn;
  • Basil;
  • Cilantro;
  • Parsley;
  • Peppers;
  • Green onions.

Selling chickens and eggs

The vast majority of small towns and rural areas allow farmers to keep chickens. This is one of the most satisfying side jobs for seniors you could ever try, but you’ll have to put some work into it.
