Are Trump’s $2,000 Stimulus Payments Coming in 2026?

What Are “Tariff Dividend” Checks?

The proposal centers on tariffs — taxes placed on imported goods. Since returning to office, Trump has expanded tariffs on products from China and other major trading partners, arguing that the policy protects American manufacturing and raises government revenue.

Now, he says that revenue could be shared directly with taxpayers.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote:

“We are taking in Trillions of Dollars… A dividend of at least $2,000 a person (not including high-income people!) will be paid to everyone.”

The idea is simple in theory: use tariff revenue to issue direct payments to middle- and lower-income Americans, helping offset rising prices and boosting consumer spending.

But critics argue the numbers don’t add up — and that tariffs function more like a hidden tax on consumers than a true source of “free money.”

And they say I can’t drive I live off of my husband’s Social Security leave off for 1100 a month and I’m trying to get disability right now but it’s a long white it would help me I need to have more marketplace for my insurance now they want me to pay. I can’t afford it so I don’t have insurance by the time I paid my bills so I don’t got no money for eight or medical so I live in my house so I don’t go nowhere do nowhere don’t know anything. I wish they would let me have one who would help me in so many ways.

I guess the critics are there to teach you something. It seems that yo don’t have the ability to add and substact. First the terrifs never took in enough money to payout 2000 per person. Second the courts have ruled that most of the terrifs were illegal, as most things this nut case does are, and therefore had to be returned. Interesting all the money you paid in terriffs now will goback to the companiers, nothing to the ones who actually paid it. I advice that you do checking of facts before you make stupid statements.
