6. Virginia Beach, Virginia

Virginia Beach is virtually encircled by water, including the Atlantic Ocean, Chesapeake Bay, and various rivers and lakes. The area’s various resorts appeal to visitors, although seniors may be able to stay year-round due to the affordable homes.

A property with a mortgage costs $1,688 per month on average, but if you rent, the cost reduces to $1,154 per month. Beach sports are prominent in the city, and a surfing competition and a beach soccer event are held annually.

You may also go freshwater or surf fishing in the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, or explore First Landing State Park, where English colonists first arrived in 1607.

Florida is no longer an inexpensive place to retire! The insurance for both homes and cars is off the hook here and taxes are also riding. Sales tax on everything is 7.5, property tax as well as infrastructure tax call CDD are high.

I don’t know where you produced this list, but Florida should not be on it. Prices in this state have skyrocketed.
