Idaho

Idaho was quick to approve 2022 Special Session rebates that will be fully paid out. The total amount of the rebate is bigger than 10% of a taxpayer’s 2020 income tax liability, and $300 for single filers or $600 for joint filers. The state Tax Commission will anticipate sending around 800,000 payments so in total $500 million.

New Jersey

New Jersey is sending out $2 billion in property tax rebates, to no less than two million of its residents. The total amount of the rebate is income-based, as homeowners get up to $150,000 qualifying for $1,500, and those who earn $150,000 to $250,000 get $1,000.

Renters will also be able to receive $450, just as long as they will get no more than $150,000.

The Colorado payments that you mentioned are not government stimulus payments. They are Tabor refunds, ie a government refund of overpayments that taxpayers had made. The voters in Colorado had passed a law several years ago that the state was not allowed to keep surpluses.
