9 Credit Score Myths You Shouldn’t Believe Anymore

Will getting married lead me to a joint credit score?

One of the most difficult decisions that married couples have to make is whether they should consider combining their finances or not. However, if you’re worried that you will have to merge your credit score with your partner, you shouldn’t be fearful.

In reality, there’s no such thing as a joint credit score. There are only individual ones. If you are married or not, your own personal credit history won’t show it. If you open a joint account with your loved one or sign on as an authorized user, these accounts might appear on your credit report too.
