8. Rancho Palos Verdes

According to its crime data and statistics, Rancho Palso Verdes is one of the safest cities in California. The city’s total crime rate is 9.27 per 1,000 people, which is significantly below the average crime rate in California.

Since 2015, Part One Crimes, which include vehicle and residential burglaries, have decreased by more than 35%, according to data from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. In recent years, the city has boosted investment in public safety resources, including direct subsidies to residents to purchase security cameras and automated license plate recognition technology.

Residents in Rancho Palso Verdes enjoy good schools, quiet streets, and stunning city and ocean views. There are lots of parks and coffee shops, and the public schools are highly rated.
