6. Enrollment is voluntary — you have to act

Unlike many workplace 401(k) plans that automatically enroll employees, the Trump IRA program requires you to sign up and contribute on your own. Nothing happens automatically. That makes it especially important to set a reminder for the launch and decide in advance how much you can comfortably set aside.
