6 US States to Live a Long Life

New Jersey

This one may surprise you, especially since it starts our list and with how many jokes people make about it. But you should never underestimate the Garden State, and you would be surprised just how popular it can be. Not only is the overall life expectancy in New Jersey the eighth in the country, with 20 years on average for men (18.6) and women (21.2), but the state is home to the most sought-after city by retirees: Lavallette.

Not only is the city raved about due to the amazing beaches and the atmosphere, but it also markets itself to families and claims to have a seaside resort feel to it. And we cannot blame them, though with how everyone knows the town is gorgeous, there’s no need to try to sell themselves so hard.

Believe us, if you choose to live in this state after you retire, no matter the city, you won’t regret it!

Are you kidding? NJ is a state you RUN from. Worst politicians; highest property taxes in the nation! Corrupt and will steal every penny from you. The person who wrote this not for real. Who knows what he/she was paid to write this

    I missed becoming a politician
I would have free healthcare, no deductibles, no pre- exicisting exclusions, a great salary for life! I also will never need or use Social Security and Medicare therefore I can live anywhere I want to….

Typical progressive rhetoric, d (I guess “d” is for democrat or just dumb ass). And by the way, it’s the blue regime that has made the mess no matter how much you want to blame others. Sick of listening g to the continuous stream of blue BS! As for these live long suggestions, “J” hit it perfectly, but blue and obviously this website is trying to sell what nobody is buying! Last time I will open any of your emails.

MA, NY, NJ, CT, MN, and HI are some of the highest taxed states in the country, and all except HI are cold weather states, also you need a high income to live in all of the listed states, but I do know from living in MN that the hospitals are better in northern states than southern states on the fact more people live in those states but living in SC is great weather is great it’s cheaper you can own a home for under 100k and you can live on a 2k social security check in SC you would be hard pressed to do that in any of the states mentioned in this article.
