Is affordable rent for retirees a viable option?

Let’s be honest: The moving process usually tends to be easier said than done, especially when searching for and securing affordable rent for retirees. Renters across most metropolitan areas in our country experienced significant rent hikes in the past year.

So what can you do? Well, the truth is that during the pandemic, many urban residents left their apartments in search of new places to live outside of the city.

Many were looking for fewer crowds to lower the risk of COVID and more room in which to work from home and quarantine, especially as the appeal of being close to work and amenities, like nightclubs, bars, theaters, and restaurants, declined in the face of lockdowns.

This means that affordable rent for retirees DOES exist! So, we came up with a list of 14 smart ways seniors can find more budget-friendly rent options to ease their golden years!
