You are absolutely right, Florida is no longer a good place to retire due to high insurance rates and taxes!
Florida is no longer an inexpensive place to retire! The insurance for both homes and cars is off the hook here and taxes are also riding. Sales tax on everything is 7.5, property tax as well as infrastructure tax call CDD are high.
