1. Interpretive Park Ranger (GS-5 to GS-7)
Interpretive rangers lead guided hikes, deliver amphitheater lectures, and answer visitor questions at information desks. They translate complex geological and cultural history into compelling stories for park guests.
Under the federal General Schedule (GS), base pay starts at $17 to $25 per hour. Locality pay adjustments and seasonal overtime frequently push actual earnings to between $20 and $28 per hour.
This role offers an ideal fit for former teachers, public speakers, and history enthusiasts. You spend your workday interacting with curious visitors while avoiding the strenuous physical demands of trail work.
I am intrested in ome of positions you have avalable if it’s close to home.
